Gym Rules – Important

Guidelines from our hosts…

Ventura Missionary Church has been good to us over the years and they have the following rules for us to emphasize if we expect to use their gym this Summer:

1. All children under the age of 14 must be with parents

We are subject to allegations of damage or mischief if youthful fans are allowed to wander, even if they did nothing wrong. Also, wandering children are susceptible to harm. Those under 14 must be with their parents at all times.

2. No food or drink in the gym except for players with water

VMS asks that no food or drinks be brought into the facility except for hydration needs of the players.

We have been privileged to use the bright and spacious VMS gym and we don’t want to destroy our relationship with them. They can pull our permit midway through the season and that would cause some issues with our Wildcat girls being able to play games.

3. No pets, wheels, etc.

To comply with VMS requirements and to keep our players safe, no items other than those customary to viewing basketball games are permitted in the VMS gym.  Among those items are pets, skates, bikes, (wheeled items of any kind other than wheel chairs) etc.

4. Clear the gym when last game ends

In 2012, VMS is demanding that we clear the gym when the last game ends which means we no longer have permission for families to shoot or play after the last game, even though no one else has the gym reserved.  We must clear the gym and close all doors to comply with their demand.

Advisory:

If your group has children, elderly, or infirmed people, please move them above  floor-level seating where they are less-likely to be impacted by activities on the court.——————————–
